The Wilderness Calling Conservation Initiative is an organization dedicated to the preservation of fish and habitats on Oregons North Coast, and beyond. Through our work in conservation we offer a deeper connection to the places we love. TWCCI provides the sport fishing community a tangible way to connect future generations to a legacy of stewardship. We offer the fusion of science tradition and legacy.
2. What types of programs do you offer?
This years effort tag Steelhead with satellite tags is a community event. If you’re able to support a tag and come fish we have the info structure to make it happen. If you just want to contribute financially, that’s a great thing too. Concise information on the time date and activities of the survey are on the event page

3. Where are your retreats and events held?
Our retreats and wilderness expeditions are held in various scenic and tranquil locations, including national parks, forests, and private wilderness areas. 4. Do I need to have prior wilderness experience to participate?
No prior wilderness experience is required for most of our programs. Our experienced guides and facilitators will provide the necessary support and training to ensure that you feel safe and prepared. Whether you're an experienced outdoorsperson or a beginner, we tailor our experiences to suit all levels.
5. How do I register for a program or retreat?
You can register for any of our programs through our website. Simply visit the "Programs" page, select the event you are interested in, and complete the registration form. 6. What should I bring to a retreat or wilderness expedition?
The specific gear and clothing you’ll need will depend on the program you're attending. After registering, you will receive a detailed packing list that includes recommended clothing, gear, and other essentials. Don’t worry if you’re missing any items – we can often provide or recommend rental options for things like tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks.
7. Is financial assistance available?
We believe that everyone should have access to transformative experiences in nature. We offer a limited number of scholarships and sliding-scale fees for individuals who need financial assistance. Please contact us directly to inquire about scholarship opportunities and discuss your needs.
8. What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy varies by program, but generally, cancellations made at least 30 days before an event are eligible for a refund, minus a small administrative fee. Cancellations within 30 days of the event may not be refunded. Please review the specific program’s terms and conditions for more details.
9. Can I bring my children or pets?
Our family-oriented programs welcome children and provide special accommodations and activities to engage younger participants. For wilderness expeditions and retreats, pets are generally not allowed due to the nature of the activities and safety considerations.
